Playing at Cow Shed on Sunday 11th of July 2010 at 9:00 pm
Toots & The Maytals, originally just known as The Maytals, are without doubt one of the finest ska / reggae bands the world has ever seen..
Formed in the early 60's at the beginning of ska, they've made some of the most recognisable ska / reggae tunes ever released - mainly for Trojan Records.
Hearing the likes of Pressure Drop, Sweet and Dandy, Monkey Man & 54-46 Was My Number performed live, by the original singer (Frederick "Toots" Hibbert remains the one constant figure in Toots & The Maytals) is a chance we just weren't going to miss..
The band hold the record for the most ever number ones in Jamaica (31) and most recently graced the UK Shores for a sell-out show at Bush Hall, London to celebrate Island Records 50th Anniversary.
Stick it up mister!
